Whenever we hear the phrase “bottling up emotions”, it’s often associated with the negative, such that if you bottle up your anger or sadness, you will explode. But recently I’ve been yearning to “bottle up” good feelings and life-giving experiences—how can I hold on to perfect moments?
This desire certainly makes a case for being shameless about taking pictures. These sky photos were snapped on a long, leisurely, 50-degrees-in-February walk last weekend with my family. It was a good time. Nothing special happened, except the sky “painting” that unfolded seemingly out of nowhere. Yes, these images did go up on Instagram, but I’m also happy to have them for recalling that simple evening.
